The European Union (EU) is rolling out the European Union Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) to offer EU citizens and residents a secure and unified method for accessing online public and private services. Yet, integrating these digital tools presents challenges such as interoperability and standardization, data privacy and security, and digital divide and accessibility concerns. Today, the adoption of EUDI wallets differs across the EU, highlighting the necessity for a cohesive, EU-wide system.
