🔐 ADACOM Cyprus hosted the Technical Workshop & Stakeholders Meeting of the SONIC Project on June 10&11 at ADACOM’s premises in Athens, bringing together experts from across Europe to discuss Security Operations Center interoperability, cross-border collaboration, and the future of cybersecurity.
💡 During the first day of the Technical Workshop, Alexandros Markou, Endpoint Protection Manager at ADACOM Cyprus, delivered a presentation on ADACOM’s SIEM platform, outlining its architecture and core functionalities, as well as its capabilities for integrating third-party systems and supporting the management and investigation of security incidents.
🛡️ Key insights were shared during the second day, as part of the Stakeholders Meeting, with the participation of representatives from ADACOM, GRNET, the National Cybersecurity Authority, the Bank of Greece, and the University of Piraeus. Discussions focused on the protection of critical infrastructures, emerging cyber threats, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
During the Stakeholders Meeting, Altani Batoudaki, General Manager of ADACOM Cyprus, served as moderator, introducing the speakers and coordinating the flow of presentations and discussions. Nikitas Kladakis, General Manager of ADACOM Greece, opened the meeting and provided an overview of the ongoing transition from traditional Security Operations Centers (SOCs) to AI-powered Risk Operations Centers (ROCs), a transformation already underway. Subsequently, Panagiota Lagou, GRC Director at ADACOM Greece, addressed governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance considerations related to the development of the Incident Response Management System (IRMS), while also highlighting the challenges and opportunities presented by AI-powered incident response.
🙏 We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all speakers and participants for contributing to a meaningful and constructive dialogue that helps bridge the gap between policy, regulatory requirements, and technical implementation.
