ADACOM: Diamond Sponsor of the Hellenic Cyber Security Team 2018!
For second year in a row ADACOM sponsors the Hellenic Cyber Security Team in the European Cyber Security challenge, which will take place in London on 14-17 October 2018.
The European Cyber Security Challenge is an initiative of the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) and aims at enhancing cyber security talent across Europe and connecting high potentials with industry leading organizations.
The aim of the competition is to find, attract and promote a new generation of talent in cybersecurity through a series of demanding tests. The countries participating each year in this competitive test are represented by a single team, consisting of ten people, the coaches and the leader.
The Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus is responsible for organising the Greek participation in the competition. Led by the Associate Professor Christos Xenakis, a specialised team of cyber security experts are already preparing the Hellenic team for the European ECSC 2018 competition, aiming at a high distinction.
ADACOM is also supporting the structure and planning of the training. At this stage, members of the Hellenic Team continue to get trained so that they are fully prepared until the day of the competition.
After a process that lasted several months, the best ones were selected to represent our country at the competition. The Hellenic Team consists of 10 individuals aged 14-25, high-school and university students, as well as researchers and professionals who excelled in the qualification rounds.
We are really proud of all the new talent and we will be there to support and encourage their effort during this competitive challenge!
