ADACOM at the 1st ICT Security Congress

5 March 2015 – ADACOM S.A. sponsored and participated in the 1st ICT Security Congress which was successfully held at the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA) in Athens, Greece, on March 4th, 2015.

The congress was organized by AUEB’s (Athens University of Economics and Business) CIS (Information Security and Critical Infrastructure Research Group), the Greek ICT Forum and EKDDA. The congress covered multiple areas of Information Security including Strategies, Technologies and Policies that are applied to ensure the security of information and telecommunication systems in Large Enterprises, Banks and the Public Sector.

Speakers of the 1st ICT Security Congress were information and telecommunications executives, professionals and experts from public sector, large financial institutions and enterprises, who shared with the audience the challenges faced and the experiences gained through the implementation of large scale information security projects.

ADACOM’s Business Development Director, Costantine Papadatos, in his keynote speech, presented and demonstrated how the advanced cyber-attacks occur through Advanced Persistent Threats & Financial Malware, as well as the methods that can be adapted by modern organizations in order to enhance their security posture against these attacks. Kostas Papadatos has more than 20 years of experience in information security, while he has led a variety of information security projects for large multinational companies and financial institutions. Today, he is Business Development Director at ADACOM S.A. and President of the ISC2 Hellenic Chapter.

Finally, leading Greek and multinational information security companies presented new technologies and best practices to more than eight hundred senior management, IT and Telecommunications executives coming from all sectors of Public Administration, Banking and Large Enterprises.
